First, don't go to a pawn shop unless you want to someday get the jewelry back. Pawn shops basically give you "loans" and hold the stuff you pawn as collateral, but they don't really expect you to come back and pay it off, so they price it really low. Go to a jewelry store and tell them you want it appraised. Then take the dollar amount they give you and go to a coin store or other kind of place that buys estate jewelry (look in the phone book) and tell them you want to sell it. Gold is really high right now, so if any of this stuff is real gold, you should get a lot of money. Good luck!

Larger chains usually won't buy used jewelry, try a family-owned store. As for price, I can't even begin to guess with the pictures. Depends on gold weight, stone, and weight, along with style. You might also want to think about getting the stones taken out and remounted on something you're going to like more and selling the scrap gold--people will pay high price for the gold!

First thing, is that you'll never get very much money for Jewelry. Stores tell you that Jewelry is an investment, and that could not be further from the truth. It is almost never resold for more than the original purchase price. Gold has increased significantly in price, but there is not enough your collection to make that a significant factor in reselling them. Jewelry stores don't buy up old jewelry as much as they used to since most no longer make their own jewels. Your best bet is to find an actual jeweler who makes the jewels for a shop. You'd likely be better off handing them off to family as gifts later on down the line.

You need to get them appraised. Reputable jewlery buyers will want to see the GIA, which is Gemacological Institute Appraisal. Basically, a certified appraisal of the market value of the gem. once you know what they are worth, you can go online and search for jewlery buyers, and send them the gia. Just make them bid against each other, and take the best offer. But do yourself a favor, and get the estimate, or you could get robbed blind. If you don't know the value, you might take a ridiculously low offer from ignorance. Not that any one would ever try that.......

Pawn shops as a rule will loan 1/4 of what they think they can sell it for if you don't redeem. Most will go by gold weight and then figure for any stones. Plated jewelry is a no-no. Diamonds can go for around $ 2-3 a point, rubies and emeralds for less. I don't know of any jewelry stores that will buy old jewelry, but there may be some locally for you. Pawn shops will also accept fairly new electronics, tools, etc. Nobody can truly give a good answer until the items are valued, and that really has to be done in person. Remember, just because you go in for a pawn does not mean you have to accept the offer. By the way, you must be at least 18 and have valid photo ID.
